At Wattle Creek we dedicate our lives to our relationships with our horses.
We ensure they receive the utmost care and love, and we nurture the connection between our horses and students, no matter what experience level the student might be at. All our horses are people friendly.
They will make sure that you have a safe ride, if you’re an experienced rider they lift their level, if you are a beginner they keep you safe.

Flash is a gentle giant, known around the stables as our very own Roald Dahl “BFG” (Big Friendly Giant). He is semi-retired and only does Pony Rides. He and Billy are constantly getting themselves in trouble with their playful antics in the paddocks. A common sight is seeing the pair rearing up playing- funnier because one is the largest in the herd and the other, the smallest (not helping rug repairs either!).

Tino is a big goof ball with a big heart and endearing personality. He has a very generous way with him and all who ride him fall in love with him. He has no idea he is 16.3hh and has never used his size to get his way. He always looks for a cuddle from his riders – a teddy bear in a big horse.

Billy is a the “class clown”, very intelligent and loves to play in the paddock with his buddies and you can see him trying to pull his own rug off on a regular basis. Billy, is competing to Elementary in Dressage. Billy is another good looker with a free forward movement, quick to win the hearts of his riders (when he’s not being too mischievous, of course!).

If Pepper was human he would have a comb over and smoke a cigar. Being an Appaloosa he is very determined, very talented in many areas and very fat. Pepper is 14.2hh and foaled in 2000. He arrived at Wattle Creek in 2011 – He did not know what a dressage arena was but could jump. Now he turns out a lovely dressage test and he is the go to horse for the nervous rider as he is so obedient to voice commands he is the ideal lungeing horse.

Robbie is a stunning 17hh bay thoroughbred gelding. He is learning the ropes within the school. He has a sweet and smoochy personailty. He is always the first one in the herd to greet us in the paddock.

Cody is a soft and generous horse, always trying his hardest. He has a big heart and all the horses love him in the herd. He is the perfect school horse.

Gordon was a competitive showjumper in his early life, jumping up to 162.6cm Gordon is easy off the leg with a heart and brain that are generous and giving. He is also bold and confident over the jumps and helps give this to his riders.
