The friendly staff, the beautiful well trained horses, the educated coaches, the close proximity to the city and the lovely countrified atmosphere is what makes Wattle Creek Equestrian Centre unique. Why not come and ride with us today? We offer a range of horse riding lessons for various ages and levels.

Our Coaches
We have more qualified ‘Equestrian Australian’ coaches, and coaches in training, then any other equestrian centre in Brisbane. This means you have the highest quality coaching available to you, with programs tailored to suit your riding goals. Your safety is our priority.

Our Horses
All our horses are people friendly. They will make sure that you have a safe ride, if you’re an experienced rider they lift there level, if you are a beginner they keep you safe.
The Connection
Learning to ride a horse is far more than simply mounting, dismounting, rising to the trot, holding the reins, or learning how to stop and turn. These are the mechanical skills that follow once we understand how to communicate with a living, thinking animal. One of the most important steps in riding is learning how a horse thinks and why he reacts to what we do.
This connection with the horse is often overlooked by riders who focus only on the mechanics. Too often I see the priority placed on going faster and jumping higher. In reality, a new rider’s mantra should be: connection and communication with my horse. The best place to begin building this foundation is on the ground, through in-hand work.
The first part of your lesson may start with you building a connection and communication with your horse with inhand work before you mount.
