Weekend Stable-Hand Job Offer – The Gap April 2026

Wattle Creek is seeking a hardworking, committed, and experienced individual to join our team.

We are looking for someone with strong horse management skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and confident in knowing when to take initiative and when to ask questions.

This is a casual weekend position, with shifts of approximately 2.5 hours in both the morning and afternoon looking after approximately ten horses. While some flexibility is available, typical stable times are:

• Morning: from 6:00am
• Afternoon: from 3:30pm

Please note that start and finish times may vary slightly with the seasons.

The successful applicant will have:

• Substantial experience in horse care and management, or a relevant qualification
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
• A willingness to learn and confidently adopt Wattle Creek’s policies and procedures
• Reliability and good communication skills

Applicants must have their own transport, and proximity to The Gap (within approximately 30 minutes) will be highly regarded.

Equestrian Australia Horse Management Certificate training and assessment is included as part of this role.
